Electronics and Software Consulting

The major elements of my background are briefly as follows:

• Created the core DSP algorithms that made efficient, effective, many-to-one simplex communication possible. Then implemented these algorithms and integrated an entire analog and digital radio system, in both terrestrial and space-relay versions, to bring this product to market. Held roles of engineer, manager, assembler, customer liaison, tester, installer, salesperson, and ultimately Director of Engineering. The worldwide SENS communications system was the result.
• Veteran of many spacecraft programs, including HETE, TERRIERS, HETE-II, ST-5, SPASE, and the groundbreaking modular system SMARTBus. Led the AeroAstro Spacecraft Systems Engineering group as the company grew during the design phase of STPSat-1. Hands-on experience getting spacecraft ready for launch, and blue-sky experience creating completely new ways of utilizing space resources.
• Reputation for taking programs in trouble and achieving engineering success. Spacecraft systems software, radar trasponder digital sections, and the fundamental infrastructure for developing an airborne reconnaissance pod: in all of these cases, was handed a stalled program with an upset customer, and turned them around such that they became the customer's least worry and highest confidence.
